The Energy Challenge

Schools across California participated in The Energy Challenge in the Fall of 2020 to rally school spirit, hit NGSS standards through energy education, and achieve energy savings. Challenge activities were adaptable for distance, hybrid, or in-person learning​ and available in both English and Spanish.
The Energy Challenge is designed for high school students, teachers, and school communities.

Complete Bilingual Energy Challenges to Receive Certificate

Conserve energy and educate the community through a series of challenges ranging from personal energy audits to leading conservation campaigns. Through the challenges, students will identify and propose solutions to excess energy use and communicate conservation strategies with their families, peers, and community. Challenges and resources are available in English and Spanish. 

​Students who complete all four energy challenges will receive a certificate from SEI’s Energize Schools program via email.

High schools in California can receive tailored support from an Energy Advisor at SEI’s Energize Schools program.

Receive an Energy Specialist Certificate
Boost your resume and demonstrate your knowledge in energy conservation,efficiency, and communication with an Energy Specialist Certificate. Students who complete all four energy challenges will receive a certificate from SEI’s Energize Schools program via email. ​
