The People and Planet challenge is an exciting opportunity for middle and high school students to inspire sustainable change in their community while learning about topics like air quality, transportation, energy, and waste. Challenge winners can win prizes valued at $3,000!*

Receive a Sustainability Specialist Certificate and Win Prizes!
Boost your resume and demonstrate your knowledge of sustainability and communication with a Sustainability Specialist Certificate. Every student who completes all four energy challenges will receive a certificate from SEI’s Energize Schools program via email. Challenge winners are also eligible to win prizes*! |
* The People and Planet Challenge is open to all middle school and high school students, teachers, and administrators. Anyone that completes all four challenges will receive a Sustainability Specialist Certificate! However, to be eligible for the prizes, your school must be within San Diego County or the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), which includes: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, southwestern Solano, and southern Sonoma counties.
